Robin York of RJ York Homes

Robin York is the Chief Manager of RJ York Homes. Born in Columbia, TN and raised near Hohenwald, TN graduating high school in 1970 and graduation from Columbia State Community College in 1975 and MTSU in 1977. Robin's work career began with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as a temporary on their Park Ranger staff in the summers and falls of '77, '78, and '79 while taking construction jobs when not working with the Corps of Engineers.

In January of 1980 Robin bought his first building lot and built a duplex in Lebanon, TN while still pursuing a career job with the Corps of Engineers. After finishing the duplex and working with a carpenter in that summer, Robin quit his Park Ranger pursuit and began his career as a builder in November 1980.

Robin built custom and speculative built homes throughout the '80s and gradually found his niche in building Zero lot lines and town homes in the '90s. RJ York Homes have finished several town home developments in sizes from 10 up to 167 units and is now finishing up Hamilton Crossings Townhomes, a 167 unit development located at 301 Hamilton Church Road.

In 1976 Robin and Debra Darden York were married and have now been married for 31 years. Debra is a teacher for the Lebanon Special 10th District Schools. They have three daughters ages 19, 23 and 26. They joyfully attend the Lebanon Cumberland Presbyterian Church where they are both very active members.
